Surf, fly

Postby kamez » Sat Dec 29, 2007 7:03 pm

I just tested some things and found out how to surf/fly. This can be fun to have if u got a area in the air and the only way to get there is to surf/fly.
here is some screens:

You mean that glitchy slide alonga wall...

which happens when there is a tiny tip of the wall bulging out along a longer wall.

I doubt you can "fly" just add an invisible wall and be all like " FLOATING in midair... "

This isn't Counter-Strike.

We don't "surf" in GunZ. We wall climb.

No it isn't, so I will tell you how to do it.

1. Make 2 walls, they can be on any angle, but I suggest trying a horizontal one first
2. Make wall #2 much shorter on the blue axis (up and down) than #1
3. Scale wall #2 either using arbitrary scale and typing in a small decimal number (not sure which number would work for this) or scale it using the scale tool until it is very very thin, it must be about 1/6th of a unit thin
4. Place wall #2 so that it is partly in wall #1 and partly out. When you jump into wall #1 in game, you will stick to wall #2 and animation glitch

If you just stand on the wall without glitching here are the most likely causes:

1. your wall is not partly in and partly out
2. your wall is too wide, make it thinner
