Arena [Duel Map]

Its a Extream Duel Map, no places to Hide and no Places to Med.
One shall fall and One shall stand.

Too plain and tiled on the walls, find a higher resolution texture. Bad balance of lights, use more sources. Add trims on floor edges. Add a pillar in the middle to prevent spawn-shooting. Some half-pillars and trims on walls would be nice too, mostly at wall corners to eliminate the ugly light differences. Use a higher resolution lightmap for such a small room. Add a specularity map for the floor to give dynamic lights more juice. Oh, and make sure to actually fix dynamics in the XML so the players will reflect from the lava.
Problems with triangles jumping around on a too large map? Don't limit your map, use the global entity and set a fog + far_z to limit the polygon per scene count.

Its meant that way, read what i wrote .__.
No Hiding or Medding, Kill or get Killed.
That map is ONLY for Dueling, till now ive seen the Duelers ask befor actualy attacking.
But the Rules can also be Set in the Rooms titel and if theres a jerk that goes nuts, there isnt a Kick System for no reason :D

As far as i know Gunz doesnt supports Speculars óo

Its actualy not that big but not too small either.

As for the Higher Resolution, dont see a problem with the Light Map solution o.O.
But for the Textures, i happen to have quite some problems with many 1024x1024 pixel Textures, so i stick with 512x512 pixels.

epic lightmap lol :P only chains gets a bit too dark in few spots for me o_o

anyways why do you place the yellow shader (dun remembrer its name) to 1 side of chain? arent chain suported to be shown from both sides? (yeas I know what yellow shader does. I just wondering why placing it to whole side of chain ).

You fail...
Using 2 Faces of a Brush is a waste because there isnt <TWOSIDED/> for no reason.
Using 2 Faces will look ugly because it will have some soace between the 2 Faces.

The shader is called NoDraw NonSolid.

I went with some stuff Sneijk mentioned but its a Finished Map and not a WiP Map so i dont realy post any other Pics anymore.
Expect that last one.
